Tasteful Manners recognizes and respects the uniqueness of each child. Our primary mission is to foster a love of learning in each student. Our cooking and social etiquette curriculum skillfully weaves artistic and practical disciplines into everyday academics. Students learn to follow their curiosity, to think creatively, and to work both independently and cooperatively with others.

 

We celebrate diversity and strive to instill integrity, compassion and confidence in each child. We give each child support and encouragement to become his or her own unique self.

 

Students are taught through project-based learning. Tasteful Manner materials are grade level appropriate activities that connect following a recipe to other areas of learning like math, science, social studies and geography.  Our students tackle academic curriculum in ways that are engaging, meaningful, adaptable to a variety of learning styles and fun. Practicing good table manners, engaging in polite converstion, and speaking in public are other social skills that students participate in regularly.
